Which Zedge alternative should you choose?
Start with what you want to change. For a ready-made ringtone, compare a browser download library such as Sleek Ringtones or Prokerala. For a voice message with your name, use a dedicated custom-ringtone workflow. For an iPhone tone made from your own audio, GarageBand is a creation tool rather than a replacement catalogue. One service does not have to handle every part of phone customization.

What you may want to keep from Zedge
Zedge's official website lists ringtones, notification sounds, wallpapers and video wallpapers. It describes both free and premium content, with some artist content unlocked through credits or advertising. If that broad range is useful to you, check what a replacement actually offers before switching. A ringtone-only site will not necessarily replace a video-wallpaper library.

Option 1: Sleek Ringtones for browser browsing
Use Sleek Ringtones when you want to browse categories, preview a sound and open its download page in a browser. The site also has separate mobile wallpapers, WhatsApp DP images and sound effects collections. This can be convenient when you want an audio clip and a matching phone background without treating them as the same file type.
The trade-off is selection: a smaller collection may not contain a particular clip you found elsewhere. Search by the sound's style or category as well as its name. An instrumental category, for example, is more useful than repeatedly searching an exact song title that is not in the library. Do not assume that two files with similar titles are the same recording.
Our custom name ringtone page serves a different task: a short generated message. Check the limits shown there before requesting a preview. It is not a way to recreate a missing commercial song or an unlimited replacement for a ringtone catalogue.
Option 2: Prokerala for another ringtone catalogue
Prokerala's ringtone directory is another place to look for mobile ringtone downloads. Compare the actual item you want, not just a headline about the size of a collection. Check its preview, duration and available download format on the item page. This recommendation is about exploring another catalogue, not an assurance that a specific sound is available or licensed for a separate project.
If you intend to use a clip in a video or redistribute it, personal phone use and publishing rights are separate questions. Read the item's terms instead of treating a free download as permission for every use.
Option 3: Create your own iPhone ringtone
For an iPhone, Apple's GarageBand ringtone instructions explain how to import an eligible audio file, trim it and export a ringtone up to 30 seconds. Protected tracks cannot be used through that workflow. This is a useful alternative when you already have audio you can use, rather than when you need a large ready-made library.

A fair way to compare sites like Zedge
- Choose one task: a call ringtone, message alert or wallpaper.
- Preview one candidate at an ordinary listening volume or normal screen brightness.
- Check the file type, dimensions or duration before downloading.
- Read any account, payment or usage conditions attached to that item.
- Save the original file and try it on your phone before collecting many alternatives.
For wallpapers, compare the actual dimensions and crop rather than relying on an HD label. For notification sounds, listen to the beginning: a long quiet opening may be a poor fit for a short message alert. For calls, check that the sound remains understandable through your phone speaker.
Questions before switching
Do I need to install another ringtone app?
Not for browsing Sleek's website. Setting the downloaded file is a separate step handled by your device. Android models differ, so use our Android ringtone setup guide if you cannot find the relevant setting.
Will switching sites fix a silent ringtone?
Not necessarily. First check the selected tone, ring volume and silent or Do Not Disturb settings. See ringtone troubleshooting before repeatedly downloading the same file.
Can I get exactly the same content on every alternative?
